Welcome to the ASC|R8 2023 Student Competition: Design Build Track Hub. This page serves as your central resource for all the vital information regarding the D&B Track.
The D&B track is graciously sponsored by a consortium of esteemed companies: Atkins Realis, a renowned engineering and design consultancy; K2 Architects, an innovative architectural firm known for its creative designs; and Liverpool John Moores University Estate Development, an institution dedicated to enhancing the university’s facilities and infrastructure. These companies are committed to fostering the next generation of construction professionals and supporting the development of groundbreaking solutions.
In this track, participating teams are tasked with the exciting challenge of reimagining and rejuvenating the Henry Cotton Building. This structure presents a unique opportunity for teams to tackle its outdated design, numerous layout flaws, and an uninviting facade. Your mission is to craft innovative solutions that will breathe new life into this building, making it more functional, visually appealing, and sustainable. We encourage you to leverage your creativity, skills, and teamwork to transform the Henry Cotton Building (15-21 Webster St, Liverpool L3 2ET) into a modern masterpiece.
