Region 8 recognised at the 62nd Annual ASC Conference

At the 62nd Annual ASC Conference, recently hosted by California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), ASC Region 8 was strongly represented in the conference awards presented during the second-day lunch ceremony.

Jimi Johnston of Technological University Dublin received both the Regional Excellence in Teaching Award and the International Excellence in Teaching Award, while Dr John Posillico of Birmingham City University received both the Regional Outstanding Educator Award and the International Outstanding Educator Award.

The international awards are particularly notable, as they are selected by the ASC Executive Committee from among the regional award winners across the wider ASC network. For both international distinctions to be awarded to Region 8 colleagues marks a significant achievement and reflects the strength and quality of academic practice across the region.

This was an excellent outcome for Region 8 and a proud moment for all involved.
